ServiceManufacturer’s warranty
In order to offer you as our customer a special service that goes beyond the statutory warranty issued by your seller, we provide a voluntary three-year manufacturer’s warranty on all LED illuminants used in our products, which exceeds the standard warranty period. The Schneider manufacturer’s warranty for LED illuminants begins two years and ends five years after the purchase of the respective product (warranty period).
During this voluntary manufacturer’s warranty period, we will rectify defects in LED illuminants free of charge by repairing them, exchanging parts or replacing the product, at our discretion. Additional warranty services will not be provided.
Manufacturer’s warranty claims must be asserted immediately and in writing once the defect has arisen, and the nature of the defect must be described in detail. Any claims should be sent to the following address: W. Schneider+Co AG, Büntenrietstrasse 12, CH-8890 Flums. We reserve the right to request that damaged parts be sent to us for inspection.
When asserting a claim under the manufacturer’s warranty, it is necessary that you prove the date of purchase of the defective product by presenting a dated proof of purchase issued by a commercial Schneider dealer.
Electrical components, fluorescent illuminants and wear parts are excluded from this manufacturer’s warranty. In particular, normal wear and tear as well as consumables or accessories, damage or faults attributable to external influences, improper use, improper care or treatment, or improper installation will not be covered by the warranty, nor will any product defects that only insignificantly impair the value or usability of the product. Furthermore, (consequential) damage caused by the use of spare parts not compatible with our products will also not be covered by the warranty. Also excluded from the manufacturer’s warranty are Schneider products that have already been installed before you purchased them (e.g. display items, etc.).
The manufacturer’s warranty does not cover the readjustment/fine adjustment of bathroom furniture and mirror cabinets, as these are preadjusted at the factory for correct vertical installation.
Due to material-related structural and colour deviations, the colours of our products may change over the course of time. Colour deviations are therefore excluded as grounds for complaint and are not covered by this manufacturer’s warranty.
The provision of services under the manufacturer’s warranty does not result in the extension of the warranty periods. The manufacturer’s warranty has no influence on any warranty claims against your seller. The manufacturer’s warranty is subject to Swiss law.
