Schneider GLOW classic HCL

In a modern property in Gipf-Oberfrick in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland, the Schneider GLOW classic HCL mirror cabinet has been radiating for some time. Sandra Clauser tells us that she was particularly keen to take well-being, user-friendliness, and design to a new level. The bathroom was therefore right at the top of the to-do list.

What motivated you to renovate the bathroom?

We had moved newly into the house as a family and first created a list of desirable adjustments to increase the overall quality of living. With its layout and the previous standard of construction, it quickly became clear that the bathroom had room for improvement – especially with regard to storage space. Our predecessors did not have any bathroom furniture under the sink, nor a mirror cabinet. Instead, there was just a mirror, which decorated the wall a little impractically for my taste and only fulfilled the essentials. That's why we decided to add a vanity cabinet and a mirror cabinet to the bathroom.

The Transformation: Before – After

What were the decisive features that led you to choose the Schneider GLOW classic HCL?

The reasons for us opting for Schneider bath furniture are manifold. The colour concept of the room – white, black, and beige – was already a given, as was the fact that the bathroom forms part of the bedroom. That is why we lovingly call this room our "5-star hotel suite". It was clear to us that a matt black, illuminated, functional cabinet would be right at the top of our wish list. What's more, it was important to us that both the colour of the light and the brightness be adjustable. Direct and indirect lighting was a condition, as was the width of the cabinet, at 120 cm. With these requirements, we contacted a regional trade specialist, who immediately recommended the Schneider GLOW classic HCL to us.

How did the redesigned bathroom affect your daily life and well-being, especially with the new lighting element?

To put it briefly: it's like day and night. The beautiful mirror cabinet harmonises perfectly with the timeless, minimalist design of the entire room. We often get asked what the beautiful lighting piece is that we have in the house, which, by the way, is easily visible from the outside. I therefore believe it's more than just a light source – it is designer furniture with excellent functionality. We would particularly like to emphasise the HCL (Human Centric Lighting) technology, which, thanks to the ability to programme the light colour and intensity via the Schneider app, enables carefree movement at night and promotes getting back to sleep quickly. My personal highlights are the mirrored interior of the cabinet, the smart storage solution, and the optimally placed socket. Everything is as we wanted it to be: everything to hand and everything within view – for an increased sense of well-being.
