Nino Resegatti, Marketing & Communication Manager, gives us a sneak peek behind the scenes in marketing and reveals interesting insights from the production of the catalogue.
What were the main goals when creating the new product catalogue?
We set ourselves the goal of creating an inspiring yet at the same time functional tool that appeals to both end customers and consultants working in wholesale. The new catalogue was therefore intuitively structured, and the products presented in a clear and understandable way.
How was the design adapted to the brand guidelines?
In recent months, we have updated the visual identity of the Schneider company with a discreet, contemporary and uniform look. The updated logo in black and red represents coherent presentation of the brand. At the same time, we rely on a minimalist design, which is reflected on the front page of the catalogue, in particular.
What were the costs of producing the catalogue?
We adapted the number of copies to the needs of customers and have been able to reduce the catalogue circulation in the languages German, French, Italian and English by 40%. We reduced the costs by 17%.
The result of this reduction to lower costs was the conscious decision to invest in FSC-certified paper to support our sustainability goals. Of course, our catalogues are also available as digital versions and can be downloaded from our website.
What alternatives do you recommend to consumers who do not obtain their information via catalogue?
The Schneider website is a user-friendly, digital alternative. Be it interior designers, builders, private individuals or plumbers: the platform offers all the necessary information for optimal bathroom planning. Of course, nothing beats the visual experience of the products. We therefore recommend visiting our selected wholesalers to experience the Schneider products live. By the way, the dealer search on our website makes it easier for customers to find their nearest showroom.
How important is the factor of the mirror cabinet or illuminated mirror during consultations?
If comfort, design and functionality (light and storage space) are the fundamental properties in bathroom planning, then mirror cabinets and illuminated mirrors are high on the "to be considered" list during a consultation. The reasons are manifold and obvious. The topic of light is an integral component and, in addition to the innovative design, defines the innermost values of Schneider. Dim2Warm, HCL or Tunable White are terminologies that require explanation and which influence purchasing decisions, as do durable materials. Our products are therefore made of 100% recycled aluminium* and are partly manufactured from stainless steel, which makes them very hygienic and durable products.
* 100% of the aluminium profiles we use are based on recycled aluminium. This has a used material content of approx. 80%.
What product do you recommend for installing in a small bathroom on a low budget?
The good thing is that you don't have to go without quality, aesthetics and useful features when on a reduced budget. As part of our LOW model series, we will be launching the "Schneider LOW plus LED" mirror cabinet in the trendy colour of matt black at Swissbau Inside in Basel. Its straightforward and minimalist design, with a width of 60 cm and a depth of 12 cm, means it will likely fit into any bathroom. The high-quality LED lighting, with direct light at the top and indirect light at the bottom, can be dimmed and thus offer obvious added value.
