Made to shine

Our inspiration was the Schneider GLOW Classic HCL, an outstanding illuminated mirror cabinet for the bathroom. The focus of the development was the light cover, a central design element of illuminated mirror cabinets. Our goal was to bring a mirror cabinet to market that is based on the GLOW Classic but has a special lighting aesthetic. The main difference lies in the delicate line of light behind glass, which creates indirect and direct 360° illumination. In a way, you could say that the GLOW D2W is the little brother of the GLOW Classic HCL.

Both mirror cabinets are equipped with the latest LED technology, but they differ in their features. The names HCL (Human Centric Lighting) and D2W (Dim2Warm) stand for precisely that. The Schneider GLOW D2W has an innovative touch slider that can be used to intuitively control the light. The colour temperature can be effortlessly adjusted from 6500 Kelvin (daylight white) to 2000 Kelvin (candlelight white). What's more, three individual light modes can be programmed via the Schneider app and switched between at the touch of a finger. This means you always have the right light for every situation with a single touch.

It is confirmation that well-thought-out features, such as the touch slider or the adjustable glass shelves, harmonise perfectly with timeless design. It is precisely this combination that the award places special emphasis on. It's the fine details that catch the eye and which make the Schneider GLOW D2W so special – be it the choice of colour between matt black and white, or the perfect interplay of glass, light strip and mirror. To encapsulate it in emotive terms: the Schneider GLOW D2W is like a perfect work of art in a museum – and its best protagonist is always the person reflected in it.
