Hybrid kiln and efficient photovoltaic system

Functional and stylish products through sustainable action

Schneider is investing in a sustainable future. The production process of a mirror cabinet or illuminated mirror goes through several stages at the Flums site. With the new hybrid kiln and the recently commissioned photovoltaic system, we are reducing our CO₂ emissions, taking responsibility for the environment, and lowering our ecological footprint.

From hybrid kiln to photovoltaics: how we make our production more sustainable with Swiss precision.

Innovative, responsible, and energy-efficient manufacturing.

When it comes to energy supply, Schneider is leading the way: since October 2023, our in-house photovoltaic system has covered around 20% of our electricity needs – with an upward trend. After powder coating, the mirror cabinet profiles move into our new hybrid kiln, which can be operated fully electrically. Automatic door closing improves heat recovery, ensuring maximum energy efficiency in the coating process. In this way, we not only strengthen the Flums production site but also actively take responsibility for a sustainable future in the bathroom.

Photovoltaic system

We generate 20% of our electricity consumption with our rooftop photovoltaic system – and 100% comes from renewable sources.

Carbon dioxide

Since 2013, we have saved a total of 1,721 t of CO₂ thanks to a wide range of measures, clearly surpassing the target path of 1,161 t of CO₂.
