Responsible packaging for mirror cabinets & illuminated mirrors

We protect our products and the environment

High-quality packaging is essential for storage, protection and transport. At Schneider, we rely on an automated cardboard packaging system: the cardboard sheets are processed just-in-time and precisely cut to size, grooved and perforated by our fully integrated cutting machine. This results in bespoke packaging, tailored to each individual product, from the illuminated mirror to the mirror cabinet.

Less waste, more impact: here's how we package our products today in a resource-saving and efficient manner.

Well packaged. Less CO₂. Less waste.

The switch to a sustainable packaging solution at Schneider is an important milestone for the environment and efficiency. Thanks to a fully automated cutting machine, we manufacture every piece of cardboard packaging so as to be cut to exact size, in real time, for each mirror cabinet and illuminated mirror, without unnecessary storage. We also focus on environmental friendliness when it comes to filling material: where polystyrene was used in the past, we now use 100% recycled moulded parts made of moulded pulp. Unlike polystyrene, moulded pulp parts are fully recyclable and leave no environmentally harmful residues. Warehousing is also more efficient, because they can be stacked. Our products leave the factory well packaged and ideally reach our customers by rail transport. This saves us over 1,000,000 kilometres of Swiss road travel each year. The result: reduced CO₂ emissions, optimised logistics processes, and a consistent sustainability concept, without compromising on quality.

We save 1,000,000 km of travel on Swiss roads every year by using rail transport.

Recycled cardboard packaging. We have been using recycled material for cardboard for a long time (percentage of consumable materials: approx. 70%).
